We are back home safe after a long weekend in Nashville! It was a great trip and I’m still sorting through the photos (outfit and otherwise). You can see some tidbits on Instagram, but I’ll be sharing more details on the blog over the next few days. For now, here’s something I wore to work last week. There’s really nothing fashion-forward or “blog worthy” about it, but it felt very me, and when my blog’s name is “Sarah’s Real Life,” a me outfit seems pretty blog worthy. I love stripes, turtlenecks, skinny pants, Carolina blue, suede shoes, and updos. If you don’t like any of these things, you’re probably in the wrong place. But if you like Nashville, come back tomorrow. Please.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day in Indy last Sunday (until about 5:30 when it hailed, but we set the weather bar low here in the Midwest), and we took advantage of it by going to the zoo. I could tell I was coming down with something that morning, but I rallied, and the sunshine and baby animals were enough to keep me on my feet and feeling pretty good for a couple hours. I’m so glad I didn’t punk out, because it was a great zoo day – the red pandas that are usually hiding out or sleeping were climbing and walking and playing with each other! It was a good day for an adventure.

Speaking of adventures, we are at the beginning of a 3-day weekend excursion to Nashville, TN! No special reason other than we wanted to take a little “grownup” Spring Break. We have a few things planned out, like a visit to Natchez Winery, a tour of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and brunch at Tavern, but if there are any locals or Nashville enthusiasts out there who have suggestions, please share! We’re staying in East Nashville and we’ll obviously spend time downtown as well. Any tips on local shops, cool restaurants, touristy things, and places to see music would be appreciated. We are definitely music fans, although we want to avoid the honky tonk country.

If you want to virtually tag along, follow me on Instagram! And you better prepare yourself for some Nashville-centric outfit posts on the blog next week.
