I almost forgot I had these photos from last week’s trip to Florida! This was my last full day at the conference, which meant a couple sessions of learnin’ in the morning, followed by the grand finale event at Universal Studios in the evening. I didn’t want to plan and pack two totally separate outfits, so during the day I covered a maxi dress with a white blazer (that I wore 2 other times during the week), then swapped out the blazer for a cardigan and added a Panama hat and a stack of bracelets.
Voila. Business casual to just plain casual.

A week ago, I thought I was going to be so excited to tell you that this was the outfit I wore when I went to the Wizarding World for the first time. And it was the outfit I wore when I went to the Wizarding World for the first time, but I have nothing else exciting to share about the experience. Epic disappointment would be the best way to put it. But it’s not you, Hogsmeade; it’s me. Everyone else seemed to have a great time. I don’t like rides or amusement parks in general (or anything else that normal people think is fun), but I’m such a big Harry Potter fan I thought I would love to go and see everything. The problem was that they didn’t let us into the park until 9:00, so by the time we walked back through all the other crap at Universal (which I think kind of takes away from the experience), it was completely dark so I could barely see anything. Taking pictures was pointless, and a lot of the non-ride experiences that you can do during normal hours weren’t open.
I was so bummed. It didn’t help that I was all peopled out at the end of a long week of peopling. So many people. I should have stayed home and read Harry Potter. But on the bright side, someone complimented my outfit.
