Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Moira Rose

When: December 29, 2020 // Weather: 30s // Real life: working from home

I feel like this outfit was equal parts Beetlejuice and Moira Rose, and really, isn’t that the casual, day-to-day look we’re all striving for?

I got these pants (secondhand) months and months ago, right around the beginning of the pandemic when we didn’t realize just how looooong of a haul this would be. I finally got tired of waiting for an “occasion” to debut them and just wore them at home.

BUT THEN, shortly after taking these photos during our neighborhood walk, someone driving by stopped and rolled down her window to compliment my pants. Totally made up for my cat who aggressively yawned at my designer duds.

On Instagram there’s this hashtag, #stickofbutter. It’s for when you’re wearing head-to-toe cream/beige. I’ve never had the occasion to use it because it’s rare that I wear all neutrals, especially light ones. I’m still not sure this counts…with the tan sweater, does that make it browned butter? Well, brown butter sauce is delicious, so I’m going to say this is is better than a regular old #stickofbutter.

These pants BTW are made from recycled fishing nets and are super comfy and surprisingly warm.
