The non-conformist teenager in me still makes a point to not dress according to holiday themes. I’ll happily wear red and blue stripes, but not on July 4th. And you’ll spot me in pink or red more days than not, but I shan’t wear them on Valentine’s Day. Shan’t I say!

Fun fact: you won’t find my senior photo in my high school yearbook. Because I refused to wear the same outfit as every other girl in my class. My mom’s probably still rolling her eyes, but I stand by my choice! Look at me now, ma. I have a blog with over 5 followers.

I realized recently (specifically, when I was putting this beret on my big head) that berets look cooler when you don’t pull them down all the way. That way, you have the whole je ne sais quoi thing going on. But when you’re in Indiana in February, not Paris in the springtime, hats serve an actual function, and you have to make some compromises. So this was my pink poofy compromise.
