My first international trip obviously wouldn’t have been complete without grabbing a souvenir or two. So what did I get to commemorate my trip to Canada? A jug of maple syrup? No. A hockey jersey? No. A tank top with a beaver on it? N…oh wait, yes, I did actually get that. But my favorite souvenir from my Toronto trip was this pair of Ray Ban Clubmaster sunglasses. I’ve been wanting a pair for awhile now, so I decided to take advantage of the exchange rate. 😉

Plus, something about being in a cool city in another country just made me feel fancy so I wanted fancy sunglasses. I let all my new Canadian friends try them on, and they looked good on everyone. So go get yo’self a pair! (Crossing a border to get them is not required, but is also fun.)

Do I give off the sophisticated, worldly air of an international jetsetter? Well I’ve been fooling you all. Until a couple weeks ago. Now that jetsetting je ne sais quoi I’m giving off is real. Because now I’ve been to Canada.

I had to go to Toronto for work, but I turned it into a “work-cation” because I did get to enjoy some of the city along the way. I didn’t get to have a drink and a cuddle with Justin Trudeau (sorey), but I did get to eat some great food, do some shopping, and see the city from 63 floors up. I also practiced saying “aboot.” Like, a lot.

It was a great first international trip – next stop, Paris! 😉
