I have this theory on creating a non-lame business casual outfit: make it like a mullet. WAIT…stay with me. Think “business in the front, party in the back.” Not literally, though…the party can be placed in any location. Basically, you take your button-up and gray pants (just as an example) and maybe layer a sweater, add a mint green necklace, and bright blue strappy shoes (again, hypothetically). I bet that outfit would be pretty cute, right? I’m just sayin’. Something to think about.

Lace on the cami. Ruffles on the cardigan. Pleats on the skirt. Texture on the shoes. Too much? I think not. I would like to point out that everything I’m wearing today – except for the bracelet and earrings – I have had in my closet for more than 2 years. Just goes to show that you don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe every season. Now if only I could remember that more often. Do as I say; not as I shop.
