Here I was thinking I was the cutest thing in Indianapolis with my stripe tee and plaid cape, and then I found out that a lion at the Indy Zoo just had THREE BABIES. No amount of mixed prints I wear can ever compete with baby cats. Sigh. I’m doing my best as an adult human though. The lion cubs are staying inside for now, but I can’t wait to see them in the spring! I’ll probably just wear a potato sack and Uggs to the zoo, because no one will be looking at me when there are BABY LIONS there. Did I mention there are tiny giant cats in town? There are. Also, I have this awesome new cape. But mainly…kittens.

My office declared a jeans day last Friday because of the Colts game on Sunday. Apparently this was my big chance to wear a Colts sweatshirt to work, because that’s what everyone else did. Not me, friends, not me. It’s not that I hate the home team, it’s just that I think the home team plays the most boring, worthless, stupid sport on the face of the planet. That’s all.

Since I don’t own any Colts gear, I wore a shirt with little hens on it, but that’s close enough, right? Hens live on farms, and sometimes there are young horses on farms too. Sometimes they’re friends. So no one can blame me that the Colts lost again. They can just keep blaming Tom Brady and his balls. (I laugh every time.)

If Kate Spade ever makes a little football-shaped coin purse with pearl details, maybe I’ll reconsider my disdain of sporting apparel. Until then, I think I’ll keep doing what I’m doing.
