I think this sweater would look really cute with a button-up underneath, but it’s so soft on the inside, I just haven’t been able to bring myself to try it! Seriously, it’s like snuggling with bunny rabbits on a cloud. And bunny rabbits are way softer than regular rabbits. Everyone knows that.

Maybe some day I won’t be craving a bunny rabbit cloud snuggle and I’ll layer this sweater over something else. Except I’m having second thoughts about ever wearing this sweater again… When I walked through the lobby of my office in this outfit, the receptionist stopped me. She had this mischievous grin and said, “Your sweater: you know, two of those things are right on your…”

STOP. We cannot be having this conversation. This is a dream.

It was not. I quickly cut her off with a laugh so she wouldn’t yell “nipples.” At me. Across a giant room. At 9:30 in the morning. Then I walked as fast as I could to the elevator, where I looked down to confirm that there not jewels right on my…you know. I guess 2 of them are sort of close, but I feel like a normal person wouldn’t make that connection. What do you think? OK, stop looking. I feel objectified. Maybe next time I’ll hold actual bunny rabbits in front of my chest.

If my Instagram feed is any indication, fall has arrived. Like, really arrived. The foliage here in central Indiana just exploded over the past few days and we’ve had beautiful weather to soak it all in. This outfit seemed to match the autumnal spirit that’s in the air, so I wore it twice last week. Yep, once to work on Tuesday, and again for dinner and hanging with friends on Saturday.

This is the perfect time for over-the-knee boots because they keep my legs warm in the pre-tights period. I have this rule that I don’t wear tights until the high temperature is 59 or below. Right now it might be in the 40s or 50s in the morning, but it warms up to the 70s by the afternoon. It’s not time for tights yet.

Just to be clear, this is only a Sarah rule, not some universal you’re-hopelessly-unfashionable-if-you-don’t-follow-it rule. You can wear tights whenever you want. Or never. If you want to follow all the official Sarah rules, you’ll also have to: learn the difference between lie and lay, never watch football, wash your hair every other day, never wear Uggs, refuse to listen to Florida Georgia Line, and take pictures of all your outfits and put them on the Internet. It’s a lot of work, and not everyone’s cut out for it.
