Buying this dress was a pretty great decision. I mean, has there ever been a more perfect item of clothing for me? It’s a shift dress. With stripes. That are yellow. My only regret is when I bought it. It was a couple weeks ago when it got warm for a couple days, and then immediately plunged back into winter. So I had to stare at my adorable new dress hanging in my closet and let a single yellow tear (not really…that sounds like a medical problem) roll down my cheek each day that it was too cold to wear it.

FINALLY! Monday was the day. So please join me in celebrating springtime and the color yellow. And stripes, as always.

I’m usually the first one to vote for staying home and having a lazy Sunday, but this past weekend it was too freaking beautiful. So instead, I was the one waking up early and saying, “hey, let’s go do something!” When this happens, you don’t ask questions. You just have adventures.

We walked, we looked at flowers, we brunched, then we walked and looked at some more flowers on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. I will never get tired of visiting the IMA, especially in the spring when everything’s blooming. And especially when it’s sunny and 80 degrees. I can almost always find something to be annoyed about in this world, but I was struggling on Sunday.

After all that outdoor walking, we sat in the shade for a bit and I had a glass of prosecco. Then we went shopping. (I KNOW – best day ever, right?!) I bought a cute hat just because I was feeling so care-free and summery. And now I have something to wear on my next Sunday Funday!
