Do you ever like to get really dressed up and go out on a Monday night for no reason? Yeah, me neither. I require a good reason to not wear sweatpants on a Monday night. BUT last Monday I had one, because I attended a local community theater awards event, where I got to see my lovely talented wife and a bunch of her lovely talented friends win a gazillion awards for their work on Dreamgirls this past spring. It was basically like Hamilton at the Tony’s, but on a much much much much much much smaller scale (that’s still not enough muches). All I did to help with the production was deliver snacks, but they don’t give awards to Best Stage Wife. Sigh.
Anyway, I’m very proud of all of them because it was an amazing show! And speaking of amazing shows, if you live in the Indianapolis area, you can come see me perform in Cultivate, a modern dance showcase, this Friday and Saturday (tickets here). If you don’t live around here, I still encourage you to go out and find some art in your neighborhood this weekend. There are a lot of people out there working hard for little (or no) money, trying to make the world a more beautiful place. Please support them!
