Moto jackets are my FAVE. They make me look cool (which obviously I am, but, you know…never hurts to be sure), and they’re a practical layering piece. I have a nice collection of leather and suede ones, but I can’t be a badass all the time, right? Now I have this tweed one to switch it up. To be honest, it’s probably a more appropriate level of cool for me. Like a grandma at punk concert. But a really low-key punk concert that ends at 8pm.

For those of you not from the Midwest or somewhere else with a cold climate, I should explain that here, 48 degrees and sun in January or February is the equivalent of 80 degrees. We frolic around without coats, open our sun roofs, and go out for froyo. (Actually, I didn’t go out for froyo last Sunday…what a horrible oversight. Won’t happen again.)

I figured I wouldn’t get to wear this top (which is called the “Sarah” by the way) until April, but when the opportunity presented itself last weekend, I took it. It was nice having a Sunday Funday with actual sun. We went out for brunch, went to the movies (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is incredible), did a little shopping, then did what all hip young couples do on the weekend: hit up Trader Joe’s to get ingredients for our cauliflower crust pizzas. #TURNT
