Pretty much everything I’ve purchased so far this year has been with my Paris trip in mind. As in, I’ve thought to myself, “how cute will I look wearing this in Paris?!”Aaaaaand: purchase. It’s terrible logic because in my head, I am invariably chic while in Paris. Whether that will actually happen…I guess we’ll find out soon!

I got this yellow stripe tee for Paris (it’s even a French brand!) but I couldn’t wait to wear it. Once I’m on the other side of the Atlantic, I’m thinking it will go great with my new yellow beret. (Oh yeah. I’m doing it. I don’t care what anyone says.)

I also just hit up the big Shopbop sale* and got 20% off a floral midi dress, an asymmetrical floral top, and a navy maxi dress that looks comfy and perfect for spring layering and tourist-ing. (The sale goes through April 14, and you can get all the details here.) At this point I probably have 20 days’ worth of outfits for a 6-day trip, and I’m pretty sure no one is surprised.

Real Cool

This was probably one of my favorite casual Friday outfits of the season! This cardigan was a great purchase (I think I’ve worn it 5 times in the past 3 months, which is a lot by my standards). And I’m kind of obsessed with the little rose gold bow on this classy black watch. Basically, I feel like I’m actually pulling off that “cool girl, not trying too hard” thing that I always admire on other people but can never seem to emulate myself no matter how hard I try. Probably because I’m trying. Damn. Maybe I’ll try not trying more often. I’ll start by making a detailed list of all the ways I can seem like I’m not trying. (Can you see why this rarely works out for me???)
