When: Sept. 22 // Weather: perfectly fallish // Real life: outdoor fundraising event
I wore this a few weeks ago to a fundraising event (a very casual one, obviously). It was overall really fun, there was good food, wine tasting, and it was outside at sunset on a truly beautiful night.
There was also…a band. And I mean this from the bottom of my heart: that band was bad. So bad that they were still entertaining because we would hold our breaths to see what they would do next. (Another 12-bar blues, perhaps? Yep! What a shock.) The lead singer busted out an egg shaker (yes, really) a few times and couldn’t shake it on the beat to save his life. But you know what, those gentlemen were living their best life that night. I’m very happy for them, but I also hope I never have to hear them again.
Now that I feel like a total asshole for making fun of a band at a fundraiser, I better go ahead and donate some more money to that organization…
