I don’t need to tell you it’s been a brutal winter. But here I am, telling you anyway. It’s been effing brutal, even by Indiana standards. I’m no longer the gutsy young blogger who braved freezing temps for an outfit shoot. Now I phone it in with living room iPhone pics. (Phone it in…see what I did there?) So here are a few outfits I’ve worn lately to stay cozy. They have a theme. I think you’ll figure out what it is…

I don’t just wear blanket scarves…I also wear furry mufflers. Scarves are pretty much the extent of my winter accessorizing, so I gotta switch it up once in a while.

But you don’t need a scarf when the scarf is built right in to your sweater. Turtlenecks for the win!

As much as I love my brights (follow me on Instagram to see all my annoyingly colorful outfits), I do still appreciate a black dress. But it must be a sassy black dress. The dress needs to be able to roll its eyes at people and make sarcastic comments. Otherwise, it has no place in my wardrobe. This dress is super comfy and definitely sassy. When I wore this dress out last weekend, it made snide remarks about a man who was wearing faux leather pants with Crocs. It wasn’t me, though; it was the dress. I told it not to be rude, but then the dress made a good point: the man was wearing faux leather pants with Crocs.
