I like to think of myself as open-minded when it comes to fashion trends. I may not adopt all of them, but I can at least appreciate them. But I cannot get behind the chunky/ugly sneaker thing.
I’ve never been a big fan of sneakers generally, mostly because I think they already look chunky, but now they’ve made chunky shoes even chunkier?! It’s pure madness, I tell you. I don’t even like how they look on my favorite Parisian bloggers/influencers, so that’s how I know there’s no convincing me this trend is cute.
Now, I can get behind a feminine dress/skirt and sneaker combo, but it has to be with a minimalist, low-profile shoe. Like this outfit — it would be the perfect thing to wear while conducting a ritual burning of all the big ugly trainers I can find.
