When: June 7 // Weather: 80s // Real life: dinner & drinks with a small group
This is one of my favorite outfits in recent memory and I love how I look in these photos, so it pisses me off that I happened to be wearing a dress from Everlane. In case you didn’t see my post on Instagram the other day, the company has been accused by multiple former employees of prejudicial behavior toward Black and other POC workers. In this economy? C’mon, Everlane. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
I won’t tell you what to do, but I for one will not be buying from them for the foreseeable future, and I won’t be encouraging others to support them either. (If I had more time, I would go back and update the links on old posts, but I have a real job.) That said, the most #sustainablefashion thing you can do is wear what you already have, so you’ll still see me sporting my various pieces from He Who Must Not Be Named, and I’ll do my best to link you to similar options from brands that haven’t pissed me off.
