When: a Sunday in July // Weather: 90s and sunny // Real life: showing visitors the highlights of Indianapolis
I might be opting out of the “being a mom” trend (seriously, everyone I know is procreating right now), but I will totally opt in to the “mom jeans” trend. I don’t know why, but I like reclaiming the things I made fun of in my youth — mom jeans, highwater pants, dorky loafers — and wearing them with my more modern closet favorites. It feels SO FASHUN.
Anywho, these particular jeans came to me courtesy of Mott & Bow. One of the things that about this company that interested me was that they use a family-owned facility so they control the manufacturing process, which means less waste and better quality for the price (they didn’t tell me to say this). I’m trying to make some changes in the way I consume clothing because the fashion industry is one of the top polluting industries in the world. Buying less stuff is going to be hard for this shopaholic, but I’m committed to making an effort. I’m trying to leave the earth in decent shape for the kids and grandkids of all you procreators.
