Theory I developed while wearing this outfit: more dress equals more compliments on that dress. I mean, I have a crap ton of mid-thigh and knee-length pretty floral frocks, but this maxi elicited an abnormal amount of “cute dress!” comments. And all of those comments came when people saw the full-length view, not just me sitting behind my desk. I’m telling you, there’s something there.
Speaking of dresses, I’m feeling an early October theme coming on: Frocktober. I’m going to remix some of my summer dresses with jackets, sweaters, boots, and other fall things over the next couple weeks. Because (a) I want to, and (b) I like to show you guys how you can make your summer wardrobe go a little farther into fall. Just pretend you appreciate it, OK? Happy Frocktober!
Dress (also love the mini skirt in this fabric) // Shoes // similar Bag // Sunglasses (on sale) // similar Necklace // Ring
Sarah, I love this dress! I got a very similar one from LOFT earlier this summer and I always get compliments on it. The cut is so flattering. Love the way you styled it for fall!
The “Frocktober” term is cracking me up. Can’t wait to see what you remix!

This dress is amazing, I am officially on board for Frocktober, and I am very much enjoying your use of the phrase “crap ton” when describing the number of dresses you own (both because I love that phrase and because it aptly describes my closet as well)!
