When: Labor Day // Weather: hot // Real life: work, then walking and dining on the downtown canal
Most people don’t like to work on holidays, but I wish I could work only on holidays. I went in to the office on Monday because I’m taking a whole week off later this month and I have lots to do to clear off my desk. Plus I’m an overachiever.
Anyway, it was lovely. I could wear whatever I wanted (which ended up being this comfy t-shirt dress), there was no traffic, no line at Starbucks. And best of all: the office was so quiet. The only person I saw all day was the security guard. Bill is a delight and he doesn’t ask me when I’m going to have anything done. Bill can stay.
But you know what they say about all work and no play, so to celebrate my laboring on Labor Day, I went for a walk along the canal and had a gourmet veggie burger and wine on a patio. It was a great way to finish out a weekend of rainmaking…but without any actual rain, which was a nice bonus.

I really dig those metallic flats! And yay for days to go with the flow with something comfy; I love a good t-shirt dress for an easy, breezy day.
What a cute outfit! Have a lovely weekend x
