I finally bought a DSLR camera a couple months ago, and it took me a few more weeks to buy a nice lens for it, then another couple weeks to wait for the right combination of time, weather, and daylight to start playing around with it. So here you go – the first official outfit photos with the fancy new camera! I should name it or something. I’ll call it Cam. Cam the camera. Yep, that just happened.
Luckily I’m little faster on the uptake with new clothes. I ordered this dress a week or two ago and waited for the first possible moment that it wasn’t offensively, aggressively cold. That day just happened to coincide with the first day we took Cam out for a spin and I think they really got along. What do you think? Not bad for a first try, huh? If anyone knows any good online resources for learning to use a DSLR, please share in the comments!

Love this outfit – that dress is amazing! When I was learning how to use my DSLR, improvephotography.com was huge for me. I ended up paying for one of their classes, but the free tutorials/info was enough to get me started!
I love the red paired with leopard! I still use a point and shoot camera but my phone takes better pictures than my camera so I think it may be time to upgrade. I know the Adored Life wrote a little about shooting with a DSLR.
that dress. those boots. WHERE ARE THE HEART EYE EMOJIS WHEN I NEED THEM.
Love the dress! Pinterest has great tutorials for photography. Especially for learning how to combine aperture, shutter speed and ISO. I just bought my first DSLR this year as well and I am still slogging through the manual but it really helps to read it because then you will know what your particular camera can do. Happy shooting!
Great dress!
