These pictures were taken in a mall, but they were definitely not taken in a mall on Black Friday. I prefer to do my shopping under slightly less hectic conditions. Like, ideally from the comfort of my couch with a glass of wine in hand. But I do still enjoy the fun of walking through stores, looking at the displays, being able to feel the fabrics, and trying things on (often testing out some dance moves in the dressing room). But that’s exactly why I never make a point to go Black Friday shopping. It turns shopping into a sport, and you know how I feel about sports (they’re lame). The extent of my Black Friday shopping was ordering a bookcase from Target and going to a yarn store with my mom.
If you’re more of a Cyber Monday shopper like me, there’s a big Shopbop* sale going on now through the 30th (ends Monday night at 11:59pm Pacific time). It’s one of those where the more you spend, the more you save…evil, but awesome. The code is GOBIG15. Here’s my recommendation: head to Shopbop (here), find something amazing you want for Christmas, and then “accidentally” leave the page open and put your laptop somewhere that your significant other might happen upon it. [GIANT OVER-THE-TOP WINK] There are a few exclusions for the sale though, so double check the fine print.
Personally, I wouldn’t be mad if Santa brought me this Kate Spade bag or maybe this Rebecca Minkoff one. [very tiny wink…no pressure, Santa]
similar Sweater (in lots of colors) // Coat // similar Hat // similar Bag (on sale) // Boots (on sale) // Watch (on sale)
*FYI: Shopbop is a current sponsor of this blog, and from time to time I am required to tempt you with information on their products and sales. Thanks for playing along!
