The fam and I had grand plans to take the ferry to Cape Lookout and explore yesterday morning. I got up early, tamed my hair, and put on this adorable sightseeing outfit. You can see where this is going… Turns out, there was no room at the inn on the ferry.
So instead I wore this outfit to the grocery store, the liquor store, and the souvenir shop. Needless to say, I was the best dressed person buying tequila at 9:30am. I wore this same dress and jacket while traveling on Saturday — it was the perfect comfortable plane outfit that was also totally beach-ready (because when you’ve been looking forward to the beach for so long, who has time to change once you get there?).
If all goes as planned, we are actually going to Cape Lookout today. Whether or not we’re successful in our quest, at least we still have margarita supplies leftover for when we get back!

That totally beats my usual tequila purchasing outfit which includes workout capris and a messy bun. I love “vacation clothes” because you just feel a little more free with color combinations and patterns. Great look Sarah!
This is an awesome travel outfit – or sightseeing, when there’s room on the ferry! Or, why not, tequila buying! Repeat it often, for sure 🙂
My question is why was tequila the only alcohol being purchased at 9:30? At least look like proper, albeit stylish, alcoholic. Ha!
