I had to go pants shopping this month. Like…real pants. I made it through the past 3 winters with jeans because I was in school, but now I have a few months of cold weather business casual ahead of me. I have no problem with tights and skirts/dresses, but I have to have a break sometimes. But ugh…pants shopping. If you’re under the impression that finding flattering pants would be easy if only you were a size 2: go ahead and have another brownie. Being a small size doesn’t help.
And even when I do find a pair of pants that looks great in the dressing room, I sometimes find they lose their shape by the end of 8 hours at a desk. So that’s why I started my pants shopping with these from Target – at $28 they’ll let me experiment a little bit. As you can see, the knees did look a little baggy by the end of the day. I think I’ll probably have to wash them after every wear to get them back into shape. Still, the fit and length are pretty great, and I like the colorblock thing they have going on. Kinda like racing stripes! Which of course are so appropriate for my lifestyle. I think I’ll get a Corvette too. Who even cares about your pants when you’re driving a Corvette, right? A new car may be the answer to all my pants problems.

LOVE THIS LOOK. LOVE THAT JACKET. and yes, being a smaller size does not make pant/jeans shopping easier – someone had to say it and I’m so glad it was you 😉
On another note, those pants look damn good for Target and they don’t look too baggy at the knees. But maybe a new car will assist you in the perfect pant search. Pick me up on the way, k?

Love this coat! Please keep us updated on your pants search–I’ve had a similar struggle finding pants I like that don’t fit funny in places or get baggy during the day. Pants are the worst.
I need your coat!
LOFT & Express are my go-to for work pants shopping. The shape holds and I don’t end up having “diaper butt” by the end of the day.

Come be a 10/12 and try pants shopping…then you’ll really hate your life! 😉
I hate the baggy knees too and I don’t know how to avoid it. My friend has started taking her dress pants to be pressed at the dry cleaners and I’m tempted – I HATE ironing pants.
that bag is absolutely LOVE! goes really well with your silver accessories 😀
Love those pants, the front and back contrast is great. And the jacket is stellar!
