The last time I wore this dress was in early 2013. I love it, but there are only so many opportunities to wear it. I feel like it only really works for the office – it’s way too sleek looking to be casual, but too covered up for a date night or wedding or something like that. The other problem is that I can’t wear tights with it – they show through the white panel in the front. So it can’t be too cold. But it also can’t be too hot because it’s long-sleeved.
In other words: it’s a once a year dress. In 2013, I did a statement necklace, and this year I did statement earrings. What should I do in 2015? Let’s start planning now…

nice color block dress….great matching….
It really is a great dress though, even if it isn’t that wearable!

That dress is fantastic. Can you wear a nude colored slip? But seriously – that dress.
I was going to mention a slip as a possible fix–another option is to take the dress to a tailor and have him/her add a nude lining panel wherever the dress is sheer-ish. It is scrumptious and you shouldn’t have to be limited to once a year
I love this dress on you! I totally understand what you’re saying though, I definitely have a few one and done pieces! 🙁

What a fabulously chic dress! It’s so great it needs to be worn more than once a year! But I totally understand your logic about why it’s a once a year dress. I have pieces in my closet like that too 🙂

You could wear a white or nude slip and then wear tights. That would make it more wearable. It is a great dress!
Stunning, stunning dres!! love it with the pops of yellow too!

Take it to a tailor and get the long sleeves removed!
I think you could still wear this to date night or a wedding…Its polished. Maybe a work dinner?
