I’m so glad I have an internship this semester because it means I get to show you some office-appropriate outfits! Oh, and also because I get to learn stuff. Obviously.
Law school has really spoiled me style-wise because I can pretty much wear whatever I want to class. But just because I can’t wear leather leggings or cute baseball caps to work doesn’t mean I’m not going to have a little fun. I’m a big fan of finding traditional “business casual” pieces that have something unique about them – like a button-up shirt with an embellished collar, a cardigan in cheery lemon yellow, a pencil skirt with a faux leather waist band, and low-heeled pumps with a thick ankle strap.
(I kept my promise from yesterday to go back to talking about clothes! By the way, the stories you guys shared with me were AMAZING. I was cracking up. I totally win for the funniest readers.)
Skirt (on sale) // similar Cardigan // similar Shirt (on sale) // Bracelet // Shoes (on sale) // Nails “Oui” // Lips (mine is a custom color from Bite Lip Lab, but try Cin Cin)
Love the pencil skirt! Definitely looking too fashionable to be a lawyer 🙂
If you need some inspiration for your office wear, do you know The Classy Cubicle ? I found her blog yesterday and was blown away by her great style.
For me in grad school it’s even worse. I have totally resorted to jeans, T-Shirt and combat boots. Only 7 days left until my exams are over and then I will try to look fashionable again.

I’m thinking that one could do a little DIY and create a similar embellished collar. If one were so inclined..:)
I’m a huge fan of this outfit and the fact that you’re going to be featuring more work looks! That skirt is fab, looks great with the striped shirt.

It will only be once a week for the next couple months but one of these days I’ll be a full-time employed grownup again! (hopefully)
