I’ve been wearing a lot of neutrals lately, but FEAR NOT, I will still proudly rock a sweater with far too many different colors on it. As much as I may like following “sustainable fashion” influencers with their all-beige-and-cream capsule wardrobes, I’ve come to accept that that’s just not my jam. I would rather invest in well-made neutral basics from sustainable brands (like these jeans) that I can wear over and over, and then jeuje them up with random fun things that I find secondhand (like this sweater + shoes).

If you’re thinking to yourself “WOW Sarah, there are so many ways to incorporate more ecofriendly and ethical shopping practices, no matter what my style is” then I have done my job.

Overall I’m Doing Fine

2020: When everything was already weird so I said, “screw it, I’m getting overalls.”

When you think about it, overalls were really just the OG jumpsuit. And you know I love a jumpsuit. Seems like a lot of us during this weird-ass pandemic era are looking for comfort and nostalgia — baking, reading, and doing puzzles on the regular for the first time since who-knows-when. I say let that extend to your style. If you used to love wearing overalls as a kid (or scrunchies or bell bottom jeans or whatever), there’s never been a better time to put them back in the rotation. Embarrassed about other people seeing you in your blast from the past outfit? Good news: you’re not going anywhere anyway.
