Have you guys been to Target lately? If you have, you’ve probably noticed all the cute new fall clothes, and you’ve probably noticed those cute new fall clothes are branded with possibly the weirdest logo ever. (See for yourself.) I have an advanced degree, and I still spent a solid 30 seconds going “and…ea…wy?” I mean, it’s not just me, right? It’s bad. And how many people in Target’s marketing department had to look at this and say “Yes, this is definitely the best way to display the words ‘a new day.’ Everyone will love it”? I just don’t get it.

But you know what I do get? Cute sweaters. And Target is definitely still good at that!

  1. Can we talk about color and why this outfit just plain WORKS? I’m talking about the bag here, the grey sweater and black pants make sense, and the shoe is perfect.

My first guess at a bag would have been black because I don’t understand how to use black and blue.

But the freaking works and I want to know why!

Maybe because you really happen to have all neutrals in play here? I consider animal print shoes a neutral. So is that it, or what can you add about why the Navy bag is lovely here? Grey-blue in the sweater at play?

Will I ever understand black and navy??

      1. Gah! Hahahha! That’s what I get for looking at it with my phone’s brightness way down. It looked navy yesterday! 😂

  2. Took me three trips to Target before I realized that’s what that spells. Fail! Love the look though. And the “Let me just casually sip my coffee” pose. 😉

  3. You crack me up! I’m with you on the new logo, very strange to look at and took me a minute to understand.

    Regardless, you look adorable.

  4. These shoes are absolutely stunning. I would never think to pair the warm neutral of a leopard with grey, but it does indeed work!
