When: last Saturday // Weather: warmish and windy (hence the hair flying everywhere) // Real life: dinner and game night with old friends
Here’s something I’ve learned at the wise old age of none-of-your-business. Maintaining friendships takes work, but it shouldn’t take that much work. True friends are ones you can see after months of not speaking (apart from the random text or Facebook comment) and pick up where you left off. Friends who make a point to cut you out of their “new” lives despite the fact that they wouldn’t have those new lives if it weren’t for you probably never deserved to have you as a friend to begin with. Stick with the ones who stick with you. This oddly specific scenario is entirely hypothetical, of course.
The point is: losing friends isn’t always bad. Sometimes, it’s a weight off your shoulders.
And speaking of shoulders, how cute it this top?!
