When: Thanksgiving Day // Weather: 40s // Real life: Macy’s parade and admiring decorations around NYC
Last Thursday, while the rest of you were surrounded by your loved ones eating turkey and pumpkin pie, I was surrounded by thousands of strangers watching a giant inflatable Hello Kitty float down 6th Avenue. Livin’ the dream, folks. Livin’ the dream.
Despite the epic crowds, Thanksgiving in New York was wonderful. After the parade, we walked all over Midtown looking at Christmas decorations and watching people fall down at the Rockefeller Center skating rink. These are things that bring me joy.
I just got home a few hours ago and I’m trying to catch up on Gilmore Girls and take advantage of a few Cyber Monday sales, so I’m keeping this post short. More details of my trip (including Hamilton!) will be on the blog over the next few days!
