I know you’ve already seen me wear these shoes, but I haven’t told you the story of when I bought them! It was the weekend the new season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was released, and we had a couple friends over for a marathon. I can only stare at a screen for so long before I need to stare at another screen (hey, I technically count as a “millennial”), so I got out my laptop and started perusing that day’s Ann Taylor sale.
I spotted these gingham pumps and showed them to my friend Damon who happens to be a huge Wizard of Oz fan. He encouraged me to buy them and wear them with a red dress – it would be a “reverse Dorothy”! We then realized “reverse Dorothy” sounded like a sex position and it didn’t seem appropriate to think of young Judy Garland like that, but still…here’s my reverse Dorothy outfit.
