When my Weather Kitty app told me it was going to be 75-80 and sunny all weekend, I made the executive decision to do as much patio dining as possible. (Side note: Download Weather Kitty immediately. The cats pictures are adorable and sometimes they even get the forecast right.) The patio dining started Friday after work. It was so nice that I even walked to Mass Ave from work! We went to The Eagle, which only has one non-salad vegetarian entree, but that grilled cheese with apricot preserves was the bomb dot com, and on the patio it was even better. As an added bonus, a nice walk and some al fresco time gave me the perfect excuse to throw on a hat with my casual Friday outfit.

Speaking of the outfit, I almost couldn’t believe how many people complimented these shoes. Notice I said “almost.” They’re pretty amazing. I got comments from gay men, straight women, and straight men (I’m pretty sure). Black, white, old, young, everyone loved them. I’m going to let Hillary know that when she takes office, she just needs to get these shoes and maybe Congress will learn to work together.
