“Hey, Yellow!”

If you were going to guess what notable thing happened to me while wearing this outfit, what would you guess? OK, stop guessing because you won’t get it.

I got cat called. While walking into H&R Block. Yep, that’s right. I was in the parking lot and some guy in a truck yelled, “Hey, yellow!” There was no one else around, much less anyone in yellow, so I can only assume he was talking to me. This kind of thing never happens to me. Thanks to Sir Mix-a-Lot and Beyoncé, the tiny and pale look isn’t desirable anymore. Plus, my generally surly demeanor usually prevents anyone from approaching me. But for whatever reason, this particular day someone thought I was worth objectifying. Lucky me.

Then again, maybe I’m being too presumptuous. Maybe the man in the truck was going to say, “Hey yellow, that’s a great color on you and I respect you as a human being.” Or, “Hey yellow, what are your thoughts on Hillary’s foreign policy?” I guess we’ll never know.
