I used to have an uncanny memory for outfits. Pick anything out of my closet and I could tell you the rest of the pieces of my ensemble from the last time I wore it, and what I did the day I wore it. But last week I pulled out this vest and then planned the next day’s outfit around it. I got into bed and just as I started drifting off, my subconscious started speaking to me:
The last time I wore that vest, I wore it over that same dress. Wait, didn’t I? I think I did. But I’m not sure. If I did, I don’t think I got around to taking blog photos. But I still wore it. It doesn’t matter, of course. Or does it? No, it doesn’t. But why I did I forget? Am I getting old? Is this what 30 is like?! Just the beginning of another 4 to 6 decades of repeated outfits and lapses in memory? WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE?
So anyway…vests are cool, huh?
