It’s been an idea in the back of my head for weeks and weeks to winterize this skirt, and I finally got around to it! I know a pink eyelet midi skirt seems decidedly summery, but I’m nothing if not determined. At first I tried it with a white mock turtleneck, but with black tights and boots it just didn’t look right. Like I was at some kind of Goth Easter service or something. I’ve found that when I’m wearing black tights and black shoes with a skirt/dress that’s not black, the best way to tie it all together is to add at least a little touch of black up top somewhere. It could be a shirt with black polka dots, a black necklace or scarf, or even this sweater with the tiniest bit of black piping on the collar. It lets the world know that yes, this is a real outfit and no, I do not celebrate Goth Easter.

Goth Easter sounds like it might be a fun holiday 😉
I totally agree with adding some black to the top when wearing black tights and shoes. If I don’t, I feel like my legs look like they are disconnected from my body.
When I start my own church, we will celebrate Goth Easter. You’re invited.
Sarah – I have that skirt and love the way you styled it! So glad I found your blog through Franish.
Thanks Morgan! Glad you found me too. Fran is swell.
