In case it’s not clear by now, I’m kind of a shoe girl. Yes, I’m also kind of a dress girl and a bag girl and a jacket girl and a scarf girl, but stay on topic, please. Shoes.

Sometimes I find shoes that seem like they should be saved for a special occasion, but as someone who doesn’t have that many special occasions, I have 2 options. #1 I can ignore the pretty shoes and leave them to live out their days in a cardboard box (which would be terribly inconsiderate of me), or #2 I can buy the shoes and find a way to make them work for my everyday life. Being the shoe version of humanitarian that I am, I choose option #2. I like to pair “fancy” shoes with a business casual (emphasis on casual) outfit. The shoes bump the casual outfit up a notch, and the casual outfit takes the shoes down a notch. It all evens out and, most importantly, I get to rescue pretty shoes. I guess when people say that doing charity work makes them feel good, this is what they mean.

  1. Sarah, this is such a great look. The kitten heel is just the right height to dress up or to wear dressed down with jeans and still be comfortable. I love the look a higher heel gives but who can wear these all day and still be comfortable? Kudos for these beauties.
