This week has been super awkward. Well, I guess it would be more accurate to say: I have been super awkward this week. See, on Sunday night I reached for the check at dinner (I’ll never make that mistake again) and accidentally bumped my water glass. No big deal, right? Embarrassing, but there are worse things that a wet lap. Except somehow – and I can’t explain why – when the glass fell, it shattered all over the place. All over the table, my lap, and my right hand. Cut me in two places. One of the cuts isn’t too bad, but the other one is a pretty decent slice right in the nice fleshy part of my palm.
It wouldn’t be so bad if it were on my leg or something, but it turns out I use my right hand for several things. Like washing my hair, getting dressed, making my lunch, driving, writing, brushing my teeth. So, you know, only everything.

Ouch! I hope you’re on the mend soon! A few years ago, our cat’s carrier broke, he fell to the ground and bolted. Long story short, he was terrified when we caught him and he dug his nails into my palm. That’s a surprisingly sensitive part of your body and it hurts a lot!

Oh no!! Your poor hand. That totally sounds like something I would do. I swear I am always making something awkward. The other day at a baby shower, I was getting a piece of pita bread with tongs and somehow flipped it air born across the room. New shoes always help!
