The Oscars will always be my favorite award show, but the Tonys follow closely behind. Since my other half is very active in community theater, we celebrated Tony night in style earlier this month. In fact, for the past 2 years, Kristin has been one of the hosts of the annual Footlite Musicals Tony watching party. She’s the equal of any celebrity host: she tells some jokes, sings some songs, and tries to avoid any awkward moments (but fails miserably as all hosts do).

I’ll take any excuse to dress up a little, so I put on this pleated colorblock frock I got a few years ago (no longer available, but check the widget at the bottom of this post for a bunch of pretty options). Just when I thought I was looking pretty good in my pleats, in walks Kristin in her pleated dress looking like 6 feet of majestic mermaid goddess or some impossible nonsense:

I mean seriously. Who looks this good in a $30 dress and sandals? Victoria’s Secret models and Kristin, that’s who. In case you think you would look as gorgeous as Kristin does in this dress (you won’t, but you can try), it’s available at Target!
