A lot of women my age are starting to celebrate Mother’s Day as mothers, but I could not be happier to continue celebrating Mother’s Day as the “kid.” I like to think I’ve upped my game since the days of homemade construction paper cards (even though I still make my dad pay for everything). This year my parents were visiting from North Carolina, and on Sunday we went to a really tasty brunch buffet at Market Table, then hit up the Indianapolis Art Museum and grounds, finishing the afternoon with a glass of prosecco on the patio. Then we went home, popped in a movie, and ordered a ton of pizza (I actually paid for that part). I’m sure you other people love your babies and whatnot, but I wouldn’t trade my adults-only Mother’s Day for anything. Thanks for visiting, Mom! I love you!

  1. I LOVE what you are wearing. Everything works together so perfectly and those shoes are the most beautiful shade of green!
