This is called a “flounce hem” dress and for some reason I just love that. Flounce is an underused word in this day and age. Was there a day and age when flounce was commonly used? I’m not sure. But if there was, we should go back to that time. Unless that was a time when I would have had to wear my flounce hem dress while staying home and making pot roast for my husband. I prefer a 21st-century, women-can-be-President kind of flounce. Don’t you?
