Remember my outfit equation for super cold days? I came up with an alternate formula. I had to. We’ve had so many days in the teens (or negative teens) and I can only wear my one pair of fleece tights so many times without washing them. And it’s not like doing laundry on a regular basis is an option. Do I look like a damn queen to you?
The alternate equation is ponte pants + tunic + blazer + boots. If necessary, I add a thin tee and tights as a base layer for extra warmth. I like that my skinny ponte pants fit into tall boots, but for work I like to wear a longer top because I’m worried people will think I’m just wearing straight up leggings to the office. The ponte pant/legging line is a delicate one that I haven’t quite figured out. The everyday challenges we non-royals face, I tell ya. Rough.
