I’m so glad I decided to buy this skirt. I thought about it for a while because technically I already had a black faux leather mini skirt, and how many do you really need? In my case, it turns out I do only need one, I just need it to be this one. My other one (worn here and here) is great, but the [shorter] length and [sassier] shape made it much less versatile. This one is demure enough (or as demure as leather can be, which is exactly the level of demure I prefer) that I can wear it to work, as I did here.

  1. I LOVE that skirt. I keep contemplating a faux leather skirt (or a real one if the price is right) but I always pass them over. The texture that it adds to this outfit is perfect.

  2. I am such an advocate for replacing pieces that don’t make you feel AMAZING and fit seamlessly into your closet. So many times I’ve had a black blazer or pencil skirt or striped top that didn’t quite fit right and I didn’t buy another because I already had one, and then the second I replaced it my life got so much better. This new one is so much more versatile and classy! And not a bad price either!
