Correct me if I’m wrong (I’m not), but what you wear on a Saturday night has less to do with Saturday night’s activity and more to do with what you have to wear Monday through Friday. When I was in law school, I wore jeans a lot and was generally pretty casual, so even a simple movie date on the weekend was an excuse to put on a cute dress. But now that I wear skirts and dresses to work most days, by Saturday I’m excited to put on some jeans or leggings.
Naturally, I spiff ’em up with some killer heels, fancy earrings, and my new monogrammed Gigi New York clutch I got for Christmas. I’m just fancy like that, no matter the day.

I totally agree with you. Regardless of what you’re doing over the weekend, it takes only a second to add a chic element to your look. I understand people are busy but unless you work in the ER room in one of the overcrowded hospitals here in New York City, you can reach in your closet for something cute. I think you look great. This look is so easy and effortless. Under 5min to put together I’m sure and yet still chic. Love it!

Definitely true. I tend to be so much more casual on the weekends because I dress up more during the week. Often times I’ll make terrible outfit decisions too because I have more time to think about outfits.
