If you follow me on Instagram, you already saw the photo collage recap of why 2014 was a pretty kickass year for me. Lest you think my life is 100% sunshine and butterflies, I decided to have a little fun with the cliche end-of-year style blogger outfit roundup. Not only am I sharing my favorite outfits of 2014, I’m also taking a second [more skeptical] look at some of the questionable sartorial choices I made last year. You get 7 “yays” and 7 “nays” – not because 7 is a significant number in any way, but because I got tired of looking at crappy pictures of myself.
Yay: It was a little different for me to go with simple solids and let the shoes and accessories do the talking, but I really liked how it turned out.
Nay: I always like experimenting with colors and textures…You win some, you lose some.
Yay: These jeans were just relaxed enough to look great with a little bit of leather and statement shoes.
Nay: These jeans were so relaxed that they didn’t bother finding a flattering top or taking the time to do their hair.
Yay: Tucking a t-shirt into a tutu was a pretty great idea.
Nay: Tucking a stiff button-up top into a skirt was not a great idea because I looked like something was protruding from my abdomen.
Yay: I managed to find an easy dress that was incredibly flattering.
Nay: I managed to make myself look like a well-accessorized elephant on vacation.
Yay: Super cool. Striped shoes for the win!
Nay: Super awkward. What is that pose? I don’t even know…
Yay: Sometimes tight black pants totally work.
Nay: And sometimes tight black pants…look like this.
Yay: I feel pretty and witty and gaaaaay!
Nay: I feel like Sherlock Holmes.
Now that I’ve said what you all were probably thinking when I posted these “nays” the first time around, we can get started on a chic 2015. No regrets though. Sometimes you just have to try things (and then put them on the Internet) to know whether they work or not.
Here’s to another year of real-life style adventures!
I love this! What a great way to mix things up and be so relatable! There are so many looks I’ve done that were questionable, but that’s the great thing about fashion! Btw your Yay’s are so on point!!!

You crack me up!!! I love how you keep it real…but I do disagree on the black skirt & leopard top…ok-so the look on your face is funny but the outfit is great!
I love this yay/nay concept– this post is amazing! Happy new year and here’s to more yay’s than nays!

I think I agree with all of them except the black pants with blue blazer…I really like that look, very sleek!
