I first spotted this dress when it was much warmer. A nautical striped, loose-fitting dress in a pseudo-chambray fabric? Perfect for late summer, right? I was waiting for it to go on sale, and then I spent my budget on other things, and then I was unemployed for longer than I hoped, and…you know how it goes. So instead I put it on my Christmas wish list! My in-laws wanted to exchange gifts while we were visiting for Thanksgiving, and this was under the tree for me! (Yep, Christmas already happened; didn’t you know? Wake up and smell the poinsettias.)
It might be short sleeved, but I think the leather details and sturdy fabric make it cold-weather appropriate. And obviously I’ll wear it again when it’s warm. This really is a year-round dress. I’m pretty sure I’ve said that before and it was a total lie, but I mean it this time. Somebody do me a favor and set an alert on your calendar. Sometime in May, scold me if I haven’t worn this dress again. How will you know if I’ve worn it again? Because you’ll have read every single post I do over the next 5 months because you’re SUCH a loyal reader and friend.

I love how that dress looks with tights! A pop of red and coat, yep that works perfectly for winter.
