I was in the South with the in-laws for Thanksgiving, and I escaped my acquired family for one day to visit my sister Kathryn in Asheville. We’re not really gab on the phone for hours a week sisters. We’re more like have a beer and make fun of each other once a year sisters. I like our way better.
We had an awesome boozy brunch at Biscuit Head, then walked all over downtown checking out the shops. Naturally, we were tired after that and had to sit down and drink again. Then Kathryn photobombed me as only an annoying little sister can do:
By the way, how great are these boots?! I love them. Of course, in true sibling fashion, Kathryn asked me if I was going to ride horses later. MAYBE I AM, BITCH. (Love you, sis.)

I’ve been hesitant to try the over-the-knee boots trend, for fear of looking like…um…a lady of the night. BUT, I bought these exact boots after seeing them on you, and I love them! The burgundy color is perfect!
I’m so glad I inspired you to try something new! I totally understand your fear, but I think with flat suede boots you’re in the clear, hooker-wise.
